Rank has warned that any increase would lead to venue closures and job losses. Entain also gained during the week.
Flutter Entertainment rose 5.94% after announcing up to 1,400 job cuts in the UK and Ireland. The company said this was a response to gaming tax rises in the 2025 Budget. That Budget raised Remote Gaming Duty to 40% from 21% in April 2026.
