Pragmatic Play Releases Dark-Themed Slot Rat Royale

Pragmatic Play has launched a new slot called Rat Royale. It moves away from the bright, colourful style the provider is usually known for. The game uses a dark, gloomy look that suits the Halloween season.
A Kingdom Ruled by Rats
The game is set in a run-down kingdom of humanoid rats. Their king rules harshly and sits on a pile of gold beside the reels. The symbols use faded colours, broken up by glowing gems carried by the rat soldiers.
The standard Wild is a golden W. It replaces all regular symbols and adds a multiplier of 1x to 100x to wins. The rules allow no more than three Wilds on the same reel.
Four Types of Rat King Wild
The rat king works as both the Scatter and a special Rat King Wild. Rat King Wilds appear only on reel 3. They can carry multipliers of up to 500x, which apply to every win they help create. Each one comes in a different gem colour with its own power:
- Red Gem: expands to fill the whole reel when the spin has at least one winning payline. Its multiplier then rises by 1x for each high-paying symbol on screen.
- Purple Gem: adds the multipliers of all regular Wilds on screen to its own.
- Green Gem: adds its own multiplier to every regular Wild on screen.
- Blue Gem: turns all rat symbols holding a blue gem into Wilds.
Three Bonus Modes
Landing three to five Scatters starts one of three free spins features. Each begins with 10 spins:
- Blood Ritual (3 Scatters): every Wild comes with a multiplier of at least 2x.
- Blood Pact (4 Scatters): a Rat King Wild sticks to the middle cell of the grid. Its gem colour changes on every spin, and any multiplier added to it stays for the rest of the round.
- Blood Lust (5 Scatters): works like Blood Pact, but the central Rat King Wild expands to cover the whole reel.
Three Scatters landed during any bonus round add 5 more free spins.
With its moody theme and colour-coded Wild powers, Rat Royale shows a different visual direction for Pragmatic Play.
